We’ve all been affected in different ways and varying degrees by the current global pandemic for sure. Some vastly more than others and, sincerely, our hope and hearts go out to those who have who have fallen ill and, to their families as well. We also join in saying to everyone who bravely face it on the front lines every day – Thank you!
A curious outcome of all of this craziness though is the adoption of video conferencing for like, everything…
It can be exhausting. ‘Hey M, budget meeting at 0730’ – videoconference. ‘Team stand-up at 0830!’ – videoconference. Client call at 10 – videoconference. 1:1 with your manager at 11 – videoconference. Team lunch at noon – videoconference. Parent/teacher conference at 1245 – videoconference. Afternoon workshop – videoconference. Call your Mom (it’s been too long son) – videoconference… Am sure you get the idea.
And, I don’t know bout y’all, but I think folks get tired of seeing each other (me) on the couch, perched in my bed, leaned back on the porch, walking out of the bathroom, or – just sitting in front of a dull, blank, painted, spare bedroom wall (spare bedroom = new home office) while ‘at work.’ So, on the cheap, decided to go ahead and spruce up that background with something functional and, easy to do – take a look:
With just a little time, basic tools, and some inexpensive materials – you can create your own ‘fancy’ work spaces! Go build it! (For that NEXT videoconference which, is probably starting in like 15 minutes – sigh.)
